Cincinnati, OH -- For many it's hard to believe, but it's been 40 years and the Gospel Announcers Guild is still here. Still serving the Body of Christ as "One Voice" committed and dedicated to blessing the Kingdom by bringing the Gospel in song to the world's teaming masses. Bobby Jones Gospel Celebrates 30 Years On-Air

Washington, D.C. - BET Television Production Studios have been overwhelmed with guests recently as Bobby Jones Gospel has been taping for its upcoming Fall and Winter season.
Special guests have been through the roof as some of Gospel's heavy hitters have been performing and making special appearances, including Vickie Winans, The Belle, Bishop Hezekiah Walker & Love Fellowship Choir, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Rance Allen and the Rance Allen Group, Melba Moore, Byron Cage, Karen Clark Sheard, Dorinda Clark Cole, Deitrick Haddon, Half Mile Home, Melba Moore, Mali Music, Jawn Murray, Sweet Honey in the Rock and the list goes on.

Police seeking men accused of forging checks
JASPER - by Steve Stewart/KJAS - Jasper Police are asking for help from the public in identifying two men who are suspected of cashing forged checks at a Jasper bank.
According to Detective Garrett Foster, the men walked into First National Bank on the morning of July 21st and cashed fake checks, which investigators believe were created and printed with a computer.
Foster said the men also presented fake drivers licenses.
The men are described as a hispanic male, and an older white male.

Lamar State-PA Commercial Music program sets audition dates
PORT ARTHUR -- People interested in becoming professional musicians and singers are invited to audition August 3-5 for admission to the Commercial Music - Studio Musician Performance associate degree program at Lamar State College-Port Arthur.
The performance degree program prepares musicians for recording studio work, which requires the highest standard of musicianship and understanding of musical grooves. A good session musician must be able to play for any kind of recording group, whether it is country, pop, rock, jazz, R&B or other style.
The program has a limited number of places available in the fall class, so auditions are used to screen candidates.
